Units - U.S.F.G.
-
RPG Anti Mech Trooper
The standard grunt armed with a m332 Homing Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher.
Usually deployed in squads of 5 to 6 or as a 2-man scout team deployed from the M22 APC. They pose little threat to a mechanised walker unit.
However, current U.F.S.G tactical doctrine encourages swarm and flank tactics to overwhelm the targeting system of most modern walker’s whilst heavier assets move in to take up more favourable firing positions.
-
Ferret M22 APC
Designed to insert a two man recon team into forward battlefield positions. It can provide rotary cannon fire support primarily against enemy infantry and light vehicles.
The APC has a direct link to the recon team if/when they require a quick extraction. With a 5% operational success rate, there are plenty more Ferret’s to replace the inevitable losses.
-
Skidz Rocket Scout Bike
A scout unit designed to spot potential enemies and get out of dodge as quickly as possible, whilst radioing in the intel.
The bike can attain ludicrous forward speeds due to it’s twin Watt and Pratt ram jet assisted engine.
Its riders are specifically trained and equipped to deal with the excessive G-force.
-
Marauder Main Battle Tank
In the 20th century the tank was deemed king of the battlefield, a dethroned king in current times but still a force to be reckoned with.
Its armour easily can shrug off small arms up to 30mm rounds. It can survive one or two direct heavy plasma weapon strikes. However, it’s the 255mm electro rail cannon that can stop even the most zealous mech pilot dead in its tracks. Caution is advised.
-
T101 Calliope RAV
A rocket assault vehicle primarily designed for medium to long range fire support for other U.F.S.G ground and air assets.
Not designed for direct conflict with enemy units as it is woefully equipped to deal with enemy breakthrough action. Relies on other more capable U.S.F.G units for close in protection.
-
Behemoth Super Heavy Tank
As the name suggests, the Behemoth is the biggest tank in the U.F.S.G ground arsenal.
It deploys a vast array of weapon systems Including, dual linked heavy rail cannons, overcharged plasma lasers, 50mm rotary cannons, guided missile launchers, smoke grenade defensive system and a mini phalanx support cannon.
Slow, heavily armed and heavily armoured. The Behemoth can tear an enemy armoured mech to shreds in seconds. It is truly a force to be reckoned with.
-
Hellfire Mechanised Walker
A frontline mech designed to overwhelm the enemy with superior firepower and a welcome sight to front line U.F.S.G ground pounders.
With its twin arm mounted rail cannons supporting coaxial mounted 30mm Gatling cannons this walker can turn the tide in any engagement.
The Hellfire can take huge amounts of damage thanks to it’s heavy composite armour plating and advanced damage control systems.
-
Ostrich MK8 Police Riot Control Walker
The 8th and latest iteration of mechanised police riot control units. The Ostrich MK8 has proven itself in civil unrest situations on several exoplanetary outposts within the U.F.S.G held territories.
Not as capable as the more militarised mechs but does boast a 40mm high explosive cannon that can shred armour if not dealt with in a timely fashion.
Mostly deployed to deter incidents of drunk worker larceny of industrial class mechs.
-
Paddy Wagon
The standard police van for all U.F.S.G held territories. Can deploy a maximum of 4 lightly armed police officers quickly where they are needed.
In recent years with civil unrest on the rise, the Paddy Wagon has been seen with turreted machine guns hastily attached to its roof.
-
SP-M92 Mosquito Scout Plane
A lightly armoured sub-sonic aerial reconnaissance unit. Used for gathering intel over a target area to aid targeting for other military assets.
The lack of armour makes the Mosquito vulnerable anything apart from the lightest of attacks, but fast and agile enough to out manoeuvre most incoming fire.
-
UF-4L Cherokee VTOL Dropship
The Cherokee is the workhorse of the United Federation of Spacers Guilds and is ubiquitous on all their corporate colonies.
Designed to carry an expansive payload, be it a squad of anti mech troops, private VIP corporate exec transport or an underslung medium main battle tank.
All these abilities are primarily thanks to the huge thrust to weight ratio powered by the dual Gibbs and Dandy vectored thrust engine.
Although lightly armed and armoured this is offset by in theatre rapid deployment times and a generally manoeuvrable flight profile.
-
AH-909 Comanche Gunship
The AH-909 is the U.F.S.G’s primary attack gunship. It is a quick-reacting, weapon system that can fight close and deep to destroy, disrupt, or delay enemy forces.
Equipped with 2 x duel ATGM missile launchers for armoured ground targets and twin 20mm rotary cannons for strafing runs or swatting away any enemy air assets that get too close.
The Comanche packs a punch whilst deploying its lighting fast ground attack profile and can close in, prosecute the target and leave in a matter of seconds before the enemy even knew what hit them.
-
F-711 Air Superiority Fighter
The F-711 is the go to warplane for air superiority in the U.F.S.G air force. Lightning fast, agile and tough.
It is primarily designed to win air combat encounters with ease using rapid firing overcharged plasma cannons.
If a situation arises, the F-711 can also be deployed to engage ground units in devastating strafing runs.
The F-711 is seldom alone in the skies, be it with wingmen or escorting heavier and more vulnerable air units for protection.
-
B1-B25 - Tactical Bomber
The largest warplane in the U.F.S.G fleet. The B1-B25 tactical bomber is equipped with the latest in guided bomb technology to strike enemy targets from high altitudes at fast in-flight speeds.
Not only can it bomb with extreme precision, when needed it can effectively carpet bomb an area, capable of levelling a small city block to rubble in a single run.
Supplemented with twin-linked underslung tracking rotary machine guns, the B1-B25 can lay suppressing fire on a target while lining up for a bombing strike.
